If you are not getting interviews, your resume and/or LinkedIn profile is the problem. There’s nothing wrong with you or your experience. So, I’m posting here in hopes some of those people see it.ġ. I do my best to personally respond, but that’s not always possible. I attempted to tackle the 567 messages with requests for job search advice I received in the past 5 days. Money and fancy titles is the currency of LinkedIn. Popularity and social clout is the currency of IG. I just think that we be mindful about how we use social media. I don't hold any grudges against anyone personally. I've seen all this firsthand without necessarily having any beef with any of these people personally. Being downright bad writers themselves and having others write their posts Starting agencies and taking advantage of lesser experienced freelancers Putting posts about 7 figure revenues but severely underpaying their team Speaking about networking all the time but being so boring in real life Sounding nice and friendly online but being egotistic pricks in real life The sad part is that you'll NEVER know the reality, unless you have someone like me who's seen in from the inside and tells you. What people show here as real is so far away from their reality that it's ridiculous.Įveryone knows that content on IG is sensationalised but very few people know the reality of their favourite LinkedIn influencers.
